Come stay at The Stone House and enjoy the peace and tranquility of a country home all to yourself. The hosts live 200 feet away in their own home providing guests with maximum privacy. If desired, you can enjoy a home-cooked, full breakfast, relax at the pool, hike through the beautiful, rolling prairie, and visit nearby historic Cedarburg and West Bend. The land is rolling. A restored prairie garden curves around the flower beds; trails lead through 170 acres of pristine preserved Kettle Moraine hills, woods, and wetlands past two small ponds. In the pasture, a rooster will announce the beginning of a new day while our donkeys, Annie, Debbie and Mr. Tews, and geese await their breakfast. Later, an assortment of chickens will wander the grounds. Tash, a small but indomitable Corgi, and Harry, a Standard Poodle mix, are the friendly greeters. It's a place of peace and a place for all weathers. In rainy cold, there's the fireplace to warm the reader. In the snow, there is snow-shoeing and cross country skiing. In sunny weather, if trails don't beckon, there are porches, a pool, nooks and crannies from which to watch the birds or the antics of the animals.
